Sumer Verma has been diving professionally for the last 20 years. He is one of the most experienced dive instructors & underwater photographers in India. His underwater imagery and videos have earned him several national and international awards. As part owner of Lacadives, the pioneering school of diving in India, he is a passionate educator who is constantly striving to increase public awareness about the beauty and fragility of the underwater world. He also lends his time and images to ReefWatch Marine Conservation, serving as an active. Board Member and advising them in their coral reef protection projects. He divides his time between the Andaman Islands and Mumbai. Sumer has done over 8000 dives which have spanned across Indian waters, Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, Galapagos, Philippines, Oman amongst other countries. He specializes in underwater imagery of all kinds – wildlife, advertising, fashion and film –and his work has appeared in books, magazines and a variety of education material.

Aaquib Wani, Forbes 30 under 30 for Design ’21, is a self-taught experiential designer & art director with creative expertise in spaces, sets, interactive installations, weddings, visual, and graphic design, blending the aesthetic palettes absorbed through his Kashmiri heritage and upbringing in New Delhi. He has no formal training or education in design. From working as the art director for a music magazine to learning the boundaries of space design under renowned spatial designer Sumant Jayakrishnan, he has mastered the art of not just 2D but also 3D design. Krishnan Subramanium is the lead Sound Engineer at AM Studios, Chennai. He works very closely with the likes of AR Rahman and Mani Ratnam and has worked on films like 99 songs and OK Kanmani. In this podcast our host Varun Kapahi talks to Krishnan about the world of sound for films, together they uncover what it takes to flip the script and find success in the world of Sound Design, Mixing for Films, and Sound Engineering. About Krishnan Krishnan has an M.Sc in Music Engineering and Production from the University of South Wales and an M.A. in Soundtrack Production and Sound Design from Bournemouth University, and he pursued these after finishing his B.E. from Madras University. After working with the BBC in 2007, Krishnan joined AR Rahman at AM studios in Chennai and has worked on over 50 projects. He was part of the mixing team that worked on the first Auro 11.1 mix in India, and also as the sound designer for Rahman’s directorial debut, ‘Le Musk’ - The VR Series. He has worked as the Sound designer for 99 Songs, Hindi Musical directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, co-written and produced by AR Rahman.
